Beau Thomas
Beau's fast progression into vinyl mastering is a reflection of both his passion for modern dance music and how influential it has been on his own creative output.
Born and raised in London, Beau was exposed to a wide range of music
from an early age and was inspired to make it his career path, being
nurtured as much by Pink Floyd as hip-hop and electro. His first tentative
efforts in the studio were collaborations with two friends. These tracks
were fine examples of the budding jungle scene of the early 90's and
were quickly signed, released and acclaimed by the leading DJ's of the
time. The production Trio recorded under the name Intense and
set new standards in the mid 90's for musical drum & bass and released
on the major imprints of the time, including Creative
Source, Rugged
Vinyl & Good
Looking Records.
Beau crossed his musical interests into the realm of mastering in 2000
and secured a position copying and compiling CD albums at Heathmans.
With his sights firmly set on the vinyl mastering suite, he quickly rose
through the ranks. His numerous
connections to the drum & bass scene have ensured that most of the
genres major players seek him out on a regular basis for 12” release
and DJ acetate work.
